Reviews

Here are some of the things visitors have said, after staying at The Byre

  • 'We enjoyed a lovely (ridiculously) sunny stay at The Byre last week. Such a well located cottage for great walks up Pen y Fan as well as allowing us to explore The Black Mountain range nearer to Llandeilo. Not that you need to go anywhere really as there are endless walking opportunities from the doorstep. We felt very welcome and Lesley was always on hand to give us excellent tips and advice to help plan our days. The fridge was stocked with some essentials to get us started which was perfect; the cottage was clean, warm and quiet - really couldn't have asked or more. Thank you and we hope to be back soon!' J. Houlston, 22nd September 2020

  • 'Thank you Lesley for our fabulous Bank holiday weekend in your beautiful, clean, comfortable and airy cottage.  I recommend this stay to anyone.  The Byre is perfectly situated to take in the breath-taking views of  Cwm Gwennol (Swallow Valley) below; the ever changing light across this Valley is perfect for Photographers and Instagram enthusiasts alike. Lovely to spend time exploring the wonderful garden accompanied by the chickens.  We walked for miles each day with the dogs, and the forest roads are perfect for E-bikes - We did the 13 mile circular route along The Epynt Way under Mynydd Bwlch-y-Groes and Cwm y Glyn (Halfway Valley) with ease - again amazing views! Great running routes through the Crychan Forest, and a lovely Sunday lunch at the Shoemaker’s Arms! Diolch!!' D. Cheal, Kingston Upon Thames, 31st August 2020
